Dylan Gallagher is a Northern Virginia-based music director and do-it-all multi-instrumentalist covering everything from traditional sacred music, contemporary praise & worship and secular music to live sound engineering, music production and more.
He currently serves the Catholic church as the Director of Sacred Music at the St Louis Catholic Church in Alexandria, VA and as the Director of EXALT Ministries for the Arlington Diocese's Office of Young Adult Ministry. EXALT is a music ministry focused on serving parish communities and young adults through music during events with adoration of the Blessed Sacrament across the Diocese. As a group, the EXALT Ministries team aims to be on the forefront of the current cultural renewal in the Catholic church: returning to the transcendent chant & polyphony of the ancient church alongside the latest reverent praise & worship music that speaks more particularly to the emotional side of faith.
While Dylan can cover keys, drums & bass guitar, he is most at home as a guitarist and vocalist. His roots range from blues, jazz, and rock all the way to country and bluegrass, drawing influences from the likes of John Mayer, The Bros Landreth, Ariel Posen, Tom Misch, Marcus King, Billy Strings, Zac Brown and so many others.
When he's not doing music, he is either working his day job as a Facilities Manager in the data center sector or out on adventures with his wonderful wife and 2 sons.
